Carter CEO & COO

Indiana-based logistics company announces two promotions for current employees, CEO & COO

ANDERSON (May 11, 2021) –Carter Express, Inc. has recently announced Jessica Paugh Warnke as the company’s CEO, formerly the Vice President of Business Development. For the first time, Anderson’s end-to-end supply chain management company has a female CEO. In this role, which she began on April 1, Warnke will lead supply chain solutions unique to the logistics industry and oversee Carter Express’s trucks, crossdocks, and their greatest asset, their drivers.

Warnke, a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Undergrad, and Butler University, MBA, has worked for Carter Logistics for nine years in a full-time capacity along with several stints as an intern while in high school and college. Throughout her tenure with Carter, she has worked in every department and played an integral role in creating and developing the Marketing and Driver Relations departments. Warkne is a member of the Indiana Motor Truck Association Board of Directors and served as the Chairperson for the Future Leaders of the IMTA Group.

Carter Logistics has also named Nick Geesaman, former Vice President of Continuous Improvement, as COO of Carter Logistics. Geesaman managed the continuous improvement and analyst teams in his previous position and oversaw the company’s crossdock operations in both North America and Mexico. This Purdue graduate joined the Carter team in 2006, and his lean manufacturing knowledge, accompanied with his drive, has helped solidify Carter’s position in the automotive industry.

“It’s an honor to get the opportunity to build upon my family’s legacy, and I’m proud of the team and company we have built,” said Warnke. “I’m excited to get to work and lead Carter into its next chapter.”

Former President and CEO John Paugh, and former COO Philip Hammel, have mentored both Warnke and Geesaman to assume their respective roles as they are now preparing for retirement. Both Warnke and Geesaman, who truly have grown with the company, are eager to lead the team and take the company to new heights.
