IMTA Safety & Maintenance Council Banquet Honorees

On March 9th, the Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA) held a Safety & Maintenance Council banquet to honor our outstanding and safe drivers in Indiana, as well as recognizing Safety & Maintenance Professionals.

Carter Express, Inc. had 5 of our drivers selected for their honorable recognition and we would like to acknowledge and celebrate them.

Don Talley

Done is a dedicated driver that has been with Carter Express since November of 2003. He is the type of driver that you can count on to complete his daily tasks safely and on time. He enjoys training our new recruits that are starting their driving career with Carter Express.

Mark Goodwin

Mark joined the Carter family in July 2011.  He is currently a Nestle shuttle driver (local route). Mark is also a Driver Mentor for our Safety-Training department and enjoys helping a rookie ‘learn the ropes’ at Carter and succeeding in the industry.

Georgianna Bitner

Georgianna joined the Carter Express team in August of 2000. Georgianna has been a Driver Trainer for the majority of her career with us and she finds this most rewarding. Georgianna thoroughly enjoys taking the extra time needed with our new recruits and teaching the tools needed to be a professional driver.

William "Bill" Huffman

Bill has been with Carter Express since 2004. Bill enjoys driving long haul freight to our Laredo terminal and is known by his famous CB Handle “Rubber Chicken.”

Randy Harlan

Randy has been driving for Carter Express since October 2009. He is a driver trainer and a pre-trip inspection class instructor. During his time with Carter, Harlan has competed in Truck Driving Championships with IMTA and is part of our 1 Million Mile Safe Driver club.
